This site is part of a hyperlocal real estate marketing strategy, targeting the Main Street neighbourhoods of Vancouver, BC.
Hyperlocal real estate marketing is marketing to a clearly defined local geographic location, usually a small area such as a region, city, neighbourhood, zip code or even a block; in this case, the neighbourhoods around Main Street Vancouver. City Guides become a local magazine and directory, featuring monthly restaurant and business reviews, upcoming local events, and news that is specific to the local real estate community.
There’s neighbourhood information, and a neighbourhood map, and a directory of local schools, restaurants, nightlife, real estate, shopping, travel and lodging, sports, arts and entertainment, and home and professional services. The creation of the directory provides an opportunity for the featured Realtor® to reach out and meet local business owners and network at local business functions. Hyperlocal marketing is by no means a set it and forget it strategy. It takes some time to build up an audience, and there’s a commitment to providing fresh neighbourhood articles and posts every week, tied in with social media promotion. The upside is that hyperlocal city guides can become the ‘go to’ website for most Google, Bing and Yahoo! topic searches within the neighbourhoods within about two years.
LiveMain was built as the first in a series of hyperlocal sites, followed by the LiveKelowna City Guide, and more are planned. Each hyperlocal city guide website has a featured Realtor®, mortgage broker, home insurance agent, etc. IDX (MLS Reciprocity) results for local properties in the neighbourhoods mentioned in content, with the featured agent as the contact for inquiries, are used to monetize hyperlocal websites.
